About Eastern Ontario Potcake Rescue
EOPR is an Ottawa, ON, based rescue run by an amazing team of volunteers. The small but mighty organization led by president and founder, Julie, serves Eastern Ontario and parts of Quebec.
Potcakes are feral dogs rescued from islands in the Carribean. They are often found on the beaches by tourists or wandering somewhere on the island. On average, potcake is a medium-sized dog weighing roughly 40-55 lbs. They come in all shapes and sizes, are intelligent, loving, loyal and cuddly!
The name potcake comes from the caked-on remains from the cooking pots that locals used to feed the stray dogs.
These adorable pups found their forever homes.
